Travel Junkie Girl Starts a Monthly Newsletter

Gosh, I’ve been wanting to start a newsletter for years, but it’s one of those things I’ve just never got round to. However, I decided 2021 was going to be my year, so here we are: introducing Travel Junkie Girl’s monthly newsletter!

With my blog posts tending to be long and detailed, I never get the chance to write about everything I want to. For the last few years, I’ve done huge annual round up posts at the end of each year detailing my favourite travel related experiences and you all seem to love them…

Check out my travel round-up from 2020, totally jam-packed with fabulous English and Welsh destinations.

So, I thought with a newsletter, I could bring you all of this when it actually happens, together with lots of UK travel tips and inspiration for places to visit.

As we come out of national lockdown in the UK with the first level of restrictions being lifted this week, I’m sure like me you’ll be looking for places to explore and escape to a bit further afield than your immediate locality. I’m already booking in a few UK staycations for later in the summer, so my newsletter comes at just the right time.

I aim to provide tons of British travel inspiration, especially some lesser-known places and hidden gems. Of course, there will be a huge focus on cultural things to do – cathedrals, castles and heritage properties. As a National Trust and English Heritage member, I can’t wait to start visiting properties and estates again.

I’ll also chat about galleries and museums; cool exhibitions that I come across; as well as where to find awesome art and sculpture in the great outdoors.

The sculpture is about 9ft high and is a hollow metal ring with different metal charms dangling down into the centre of the hollow. You can see the horizon line through the centre of the sculpture.

If you don’t know me by now, I am a huge sculpture trail addict, so I’m always on the look out for a trail to follow. With so many being postponed from last year, this summer is looking epic on the sculpture trail front, so I’ll update you each month on where and when trails pop up!

As well as all the cultural stuff, I love to be outdoors, so my newsletter will always feature a ‘walk of the month’. You’ll also discover my favourite country parks, nature reserves and more under-the-radar places to get outside.

As I’m based in Cheshire in North West England, there will be a big focus on Northern England. I just love it up here…yes – even with our unpredictable weather! With a healthy dose of the rest of Great Britain, I’ll also occasionally pop across the channel to mainland Europe and across the pond to North America too.
